That is the solution I have come to prefer also.
The button also gives you enough control so you can abort  the exit if 
conditions dictate.
I tend also to put the button near the top left and color it differently from 
the other buttons.
This makes it always visible even when the screen resolution happens to be too 
small for the form.

Razzak, I'm asking the impossible - I want the user to be able to exit 
with the regular button, but I don't want the user to exit when he/she 
presses escape once too often while working with combo boxes. My present 
workaround is to add a bit button in the top right corner of the form to 
exit and I have checked the box you have conveniently provided.
