This link will allow you to enable and use Windows XP mode. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx Another alternative, if you are a little more adventurous, is to create a VHD with the 32 bit version of Windows XP and the use the Windows 7 boot manager to boot the VHD. This means that your CFO will have to reboot to use R:Base, but she will have a native (in spite of the VHD boot) copy of Windows instead of a virtual copy. XP Mode will not require a reboot, but she will be using a virtual copy so performance may be an issue. Also, depending on the amount of RAM in the system, XP mode may not run, or will run very poorly. If you use the VHD method, you will need an OS license. XP Mode will not require an additional license.
