A few suggestions:

01. Use "Advanced DB Rich Text" Object associated with VARCHAR data type

     Database Controls | Advanced DB Rich Text

02. Make sure that the "Stretch" property is checked

     DB Rich Text Object | Right-Click ... | Stretch
