Good point about the virus checking.  I've always used Webroot's 
SecureAnywhere virus checker, and I've loved it -- until this year!!
With their "new" version, they no longer allow you to specify files
to exclude from virus checking!!   When I chatted with their tech guy
about wanting to exclude certain database extensions, he said it
was no longer possible!   This is on my own personal computer so
it's not a big deal, but I certainly wouldn't want that on a customer's
network!   I'm not sure at this client what virus checker they had and
whether database files are excluded.
