Mike Unless I read in incorrectly, Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_address ) synopsis of RFC 5322 section 3.2.3 doesn't allow the use of special characters in an email address _unless_ "surrounded" by quotes and I take that to mean your example:
