Base the report on a temporary table and populate the table.
Preview mode becomes a quick way to check your work.
Also, print the report with the image on it and a ruler becomes a very handy 
tool!

We do all our taxforms by scanning in the  form, saving it in an images table  
as varbit , then creating a report using the page style band, and the fields 
fill in the form.
Pretty cool!

I think r:pdf form filler does this but since I have compiler I would have to 
buy the runtime($$$)  for one user. So I am looking for an alternative.
