Hi Karen,

Since you are copying the database to a local drive, why not use a permanent 
table instead of a temp? If it's a memory problem, this will make it go away.

Jan:  I remote into the database server, copy the database to a local drive on 
the server, connect multi off, and it crashes there too...  Not just a 
workstation/multiuser thing.

One thing that I did for "big things" like this was to create a routine that 
runs on the server once a month at some off time (1am) and then send the report 
to whoever.
