I don't believe that there is a "on hover eep" for the calendar (i think
there is something for another control) so you can't do one of the things
you want.

Let me just add that "anything worthwhile doing is neither fast nor easy".

Don't be discouraged but your can be done but will take time and effort.

Jan: Thanks for your input. By looking at your zip file, I can tell that a
lot of work went into it. I'm not sure exactly what the benefit of using
variable forms and have actually never used one. I always deal with data
directly, so I guess all my forms are "bound". I've also never used eeps
much, but since they are now able to be placed into the form, I think I will
be using them a lot, once I figure out how to do it.

What I'd like to do with the appt. scheduler is when I hover over a date in
the little calendar, the grid shows all the appointments for that date and
none other. When I click on the calendar date, my cursor should go into the
grid for editing, adding, etc. rows.

Is that possible without herculean programming effort?

Bill,

Let me just say that I only use "bound" forms when dealing directly with
data.

So the answer to your question is yes, when using variable forms.

So I can use a variable date/time picker and directly affect a variable list
view.

for starters, can you put a calendar/date picker thingy at the top of a
form and have a grid below update whenever you select a date in the
calendar? I've tried and cant seem to link the two objects.

 thanks again

Is there a link to it? I was not paying much attention I guess. What do
YOU do for appointments? Thanks.

Yep. Showed something like this at the last conference.

Including drag-n-drop.

Has anyone created a decent appointment book using an Rbase form? (9.1 64,
current build)

I want to be able to see 2 different days of appointments at the same time
so I can change the date and/or time on one while I can scroll through and
see the schedule in the 2nd listing.

I'd love to be able to drag and drop an appointment, but am ok with just
editing the date and/or time fields if you can't drag and drop individual
lines of data.

 Thanks

 Bill
