I know this a work around but it works.

Put this on the “onclick” eep.

recalc variables
PROPERTY RBASE_FORM CAPTION .variablename
return

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Re: Dynamic header from List View (v9.1)
I had submitted this to RBTI quite a while ago (can't remember if it was 9.1 or
9.5 originally). Same thing -- I wanted to have a variable as part of the
dynamic form header. I would change the variable in the form, do a recalc var,
but the dynamic header stayed the same. RBTI says it has always worked that
way (guess I'd never tried it before) and have implemented an enhancement so
that now a dynamic form header should recalculate with a recalc var. My list
shows the enhancement to both 9.1 and 9.5, but I honestly haven't tried it yet.
So if you're working on an updated 9.1 I would think the change would be
there.

I’ve been playing with this for an hour or two and not getting it right:

I have a Variable Lookup List View from which I want to display the IdNum of
the currently selected row in the Dynamic Form Header.

The best that I can get is the previous IdNum when starting the form again.
I can display the variable on its own but not in the form header.
I can see that the variable for the header is updating with the correct value
in trace.

I guess it’s something obvious that I’m missing but what?

  Alastair.
