Jason Thanks for your help. It was partially successful. However, the main variable which calculates all my other vars keeps getting cleared for no apparent reason and I'm getting really frustrated. In my defined variables I have ; vpropid INTEGER = propid I have located a DBEdit field defined with the field PROPID What I can't comprehend is why my variable vPropid keeps getting cleared when there is absolutely no code or setting to clear ANY field, variable or eep in the entire form. It seems when I tab through bit buttons, the variable is clearing, destroying the file location variable before it can save the file. Bill Eyring
