Jan, Did you use Windows Explorer to see that the network drive associated with the shortcut is available ? You will see a red X in Windows Explorer for network drives not connecting. I'm sure you've already checked this condition. I've seen instances of shortcuts not working when the assigned network drive is unavailable. It coincidently happened on network computers running Symantec Corporate Anti-virus and Windows 7 if that's a clue. I have never seen shortcuts changed without explanation. Hope this helps. It makes an alternate solution far more practical. I've decided that best way to handle this is to on have one child form open at a time. The master form will orchestrate this.
