We have been using a v95 64 compiler for our network and it has worked great. A
report/form free version of the working database is on Network Drive Y with the
compiled exe that stores the forms/reports and the .rcp file. The development
databases are off network. The Drive Y database is copied regularly off network.

We are starting to use VPN connections for out of house locations and security
questions are coming up. We are drifting again in an area of limited knowledge,
but that has been since day 1 with R:Base so it is nothing new. My Drive C has
the complier programs and the engine is always embedded. In the past I have put
the compiler and all the associated files on C and Y has part of
update/upgrades. I'd rather keep as little as is needed on Y. What do I
actually need on Drive Y? What should never be there?

I read the Compiler manuals, but it is not clicking. Must be nervousness over
the end of the world tomorrow or the blizzard coming in 4-5 hours.
