Methinks you are fighting a losing battle.
Have you thought of using a scrolling region instead?

Thanks. I got that.
I have a variable checkbox to enable a column or not.
Actually discovered that it kindof works, but it's delayed.
So it looks like a need a DBGrid refresh or something.

Anyone got a working sample of an Enhanced DB-Grid?
I'm having trouble programatically setting focus to a column and setting a 
column to read only.
