I have just spent an hour trying to add a column to a form that I created in the Form Wizard. I added a column to the table and want to add it to the form. I am certain it is simple, but I have been through all the documentation/help on forms and can't find how to do this simple thing. Seems like to little a question to bother the listserv folks with. I could do it in the DOS version in a minute.

The tutorial is a very explanatory source for such common database activities. Within "Lesson 4 - Creating and Modifying Forms", there is the "Placing DB Edit (column) Objects" page.

Basically, to place DB Edit object on a form:

1. In the "Form Designer" window, choose the "DB Edit" button from the "Database Controls" toolbar.

The "Database Controls" toolbar specifically places objects that reference data that is stored in the table. You will notice that each button has a picture of a table in the
background. The "DB Edit" button is the fourth button from the top left.

2. Position the mouse cursor to the location where the object will be displayed on the form and click the left mouse button.

The "DB Edit Properties" dialog box is displayed. You will notice a panel with "Table and Field". You will use the "Data Field:" drop down box to select from a list of available columns.

3. Select the new column.

4. Click the OK button.
