I was under the impression that while testing a form from within Forms

I find that my form-testing data is being INSERTed into an underlying test

No harm done, but am I delusional here (on-topic context only, please)?

Bruce,

FWIW ...

The INSERT command is not similar to updating the existing data.

While in Form Designer, the "Read-Only" option means "no update" of any
underlying record(s). However, the form designer does NOT disable any
button and/or EEP that INSERTs the row, in a master or slave table(s),
if implemented.

Hope that provides you with some blue's clues ...

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
