I am in the process of moving my database to a Lenovo PC and have
encountered a problem on the connection. I have a received an error Message
No 7, indicating I cannot connect to the database.
I am using the latest version of 9.5 on the Lenovo. I also am using the
latest version on my PC at home. The operating systems are as follows...
Levnovo - Windows 7 Professional - 32 bit
Home PC - Windows 7 Professional - 64 bit
Dell Latitude - XP (Old office)
I currently have the database on a portable drive and could connect at my
old office and home with no problems. I was running the database at a
previous office on a Dell Latitude with XP operating system and had no
problem. At home, when I try to connect to the database, I have no
problems. Everything is as it should be.
At my new office, when I try to connect to the same database I get the error
message number 7 which does not allow me to connect to the database.
I have unloaded the database at home and reloaded the database at the office
and was able to maneuver with no problem in the database. When I exited the
database and tried to re-enter, I received the same error message as before.
Any blues clues????
