You can try shutting down R:Base, rebooting the computer, re-starting R:Base and seeing if you still have the problem. 8 out of 10 times I run into a similar issue, the procedure described will solve the issue. If you still have the problem, you might want to reload the form from a backup that worked correctly, since it is likely your form is corrupt. I have a field with a single character. I like to scroll up and down using F7 and F8. I have noticed that if I SET INSERT OFF, and I scroll up and down using F7/F8, and all the fields contain the same upper case single character, the cursor appears to be a blue box that completely encompasses the letter. But if one of the characters is a small case, then the cursor changes to a thin line and sometimes it changes from overwrite mode to insert mode. Could that be due to my form being corrupt? Mike
