Dan,

Thanks for testing this on your Win 7 PC.

Yes, I'm a bit R:Behind. I use to chuckle at the DOS users still looking for RBase support. Now I've become one of the dinosaurs.

Typically I use the plugin for file selection. The example below starts at
the desktop folder but you can change it to anything.

SET VAR vfilename TEXT, vdir TEXT =(ENVVAL('userprofile') + '\Desktop')

PLUGINS loadfilename vfilename |fullpath on |TITLE SELECT file +
TO import |view_mode list |filter JPG file (*.JPG)#*.JPG |initial_dir &vdir

I tried your choose command on my windows 7 pc, rbase 9.5-64 and it works. I
had to change the double quote to single quote because of my quote settings.

You are a few versions behind....

RB7x

Never had a problem with displaying files in a folder before.
The code is:

CHOOSE xfile FROM #LFILES CAPTION "Choose a File to Load" LINES 20 FORMATTED

There are a number of JPG files to choose from.
They are using Windows 7
Any help appreciated.

btw- used Teamviewer to take over their PC.
Prefer it to LogMeIn or others I've seen.
Although it is just for personal use.

TIA,

Dennis
