Dear User Group,
I've not been as active with R:base since my former job at the end of
2006 although I've purchased a few copies of R:Base to try to keep
up. I would like to get back in and do some development even if its
for my own business applications.
What I've been seeing in the business world is development of web
based applications where the software can be used across platforms
and not always even in the same network.
At one point I spoke to John at R:base about this type of development
and I think it was necessary to buy 3rd party software to do the
HTML/Web part and then R:base was the database engine.
What I'd really like to be able to do is create applications, menus,
forms and so forth on a web based interface which is actually part of
R:base. Maybe this is being done and like I said have been out of
the loop for a little while. If so I would like to see what others
have done with this if you are in Ohio where I could visit.
Maybe there is training for this too but I am really limited on funds
and can not afford expensive R:base training at this point. I'm
keeping my business going and want to use R:base but I don't have
much extra for expenses unless there are some type of grants out
there for training of this sort.
Thanks group - as you seem to really help each other so much.
