Karen,

Your unselfishness in sharing your code and ideas over the years are to be
applauded.

I have enjoyed the dialog and new ideas this list produces.

I, like you and many others, share.

Stay thirsty my friend.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Re: R:BASE List Users

I'm assuming this is aimed at me. For some 25 years I have been amassing 2

huge Microsoft Word documents with things I have gleaned over the years,
tips
and tricks that I may find useful someday even if not at the exact moment.
One document is 204 pages long, the other is 176 pages long. Sometimes
these
are things I did and want to store in a place where I can easily recall.
Sometimes
they are things mentioned in the RBase list, even things going back as far
as the
RBase compuserve forum if you remember that! And I have to admit that most

of the time I did not make a note of where I got that info from and who
might have
written the code.

I'm under the impression that no one has copyrighted the code, or else it
would
have been mentioned in the original posting.

But if you want me to never again post example code that I have saved over
the
years, unless it is code that I have personally written, then I will
refrain. However,
for decades my "cheat sheet" document has been invaluable. People have
asked
me for a copy of the document and I willingly give it to them.

My contribution of suggestions to the list will be greatly diminished, but
if that's
the price for me not mentioning who might have suggested the code, then I
will
comply.

Karen
