Looking at the help this is the expected behaviour:

R>set var v1 text = (icap2('john lee''s barclay james harvest'))
 
R>sho var v1=100
John Lee'S Barclay James Harvest

Does anyone agree with me that “apostrophe s space” ought to be an exception?
