Hi Razzak,

I am using your beautiful backup procedure which you presented at our
course in Baden Switzerland. Just one question....

If you like to restore the backup the password is needed. That's what
I like to avoid. Is there a solution for this?

I thought if I use the owner password the password is not being asked,
but that is not the case.

Tony,

I am so glad to hear that!

To answer your question ...

To RUN the ENCRYPTED R:BASE file created by the backup routine, use the
following syntax to create the database without prompting the dialog for
password.

RUN filename.ext <password>

The filename.ext is the actual name of the backup file assigned.

The optional parameter of <password> should be the actual password
assigned when creating the ENCRYPTED backup file.

Have fun implementing those cool routines in your R:BASE eXtreme 9.5
applications.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
