We have Rbase 9.5 (32), version 9.5.3.21205 installed on 2 test
laptops. When in R>, both show the Command History window as
expected. On laptop 1, as I enter commands, they accumulate into
the window as expected. On laptop 2, however, this does not occur,
i.e., the Command History window always stays empty no matter what
command I enter. Both laptops are running Windows 7 Version 6.1
(Build 7601: Service Pack 1). I have checked all the settings that
I know to check and I do not see any differences. Does anyone know
how I can get laptop 2 to work like laptop 1?

Phillip or Anna Cecil,

Here are two techniques to simulate your "Laptop 2" R:BASE settings
similar to your "Laptop 1" R:BASE settings.

-- Technique 01:

On Laptop 1:

01. Start R:BASE eXtreme 9.5

02. Database Explorer | Main Menu | Settings | Registry Settings ...

    Save to File ...

-- Remember the location and the saved file name.

03. Copy this file onto a Flash Drive

On Laptop 2:

01. Start R:BASE eXtreme 9.5

02. Database Explorer | Main Menu | Settings | Registry Settings ...

    Load from File ...

-- Select the appropriate location and file from your flash drive

-- Technique 2

On Laptop 2:

01. Start R:BASE eXtreme 9.5

02. Database Explorer | Main Menu | Settings | R> Prompt ...

03. R> Prompt Settings | Command History Panel ...

Make sure to check the Check Box for [ ] Save History

04. Click on [Apply] Button to Apply and Save Changes.

That's all there is to it.

Have fun!

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
