That's what we do too.  We have a blank PDF file and keep it in the database 
directory

Using PROPERTY pdfViewer FILENAME "MyPDFFile.PDF" works great to display a PDF. 
However, I'm not sure what do if I want to "clear" the PDF viewer so it has no 
file associated with it.  I tried assigning an empty string and a NULL text 
variable to the FILENAME property, but I get the message -ERROR- The PDF file 
could not be opened.
