Codelock could also create a standalone binary command file that you just run because it does not contain Command, Screen or Menu blocks, just encrypted code. It sounds like that is what you are looking at.

Ahaa.... Didn't think of that. Strange because the file has no extension. There were a few other checkbk.* files, with extensions, but none of them are readable either. I just tried doing a search of "CHKTRX00" since that seems to be in the file, but the only 2 files it brought up were the 2 unreadable ones. And for a codelocked file, I thought they would have to type something like : RUN <something> IN <something>. Or was this compiled..... I’ll bet it is a codelocked rbase command file. Yeah, if I can't figure out this program, then I want to get more specifics about their Real World program (like version, whatever) and what steps they do in Real World, if any, to "bring in" the files -- or are they just sitting there and automatically looked at. Things like that... I also think it's totally possible that they are running this program and it isn't doing a darn thing and is not needed! Since the date of this program is from 12 years ago it's not like it's been updated lately! I would suggest you contact Real World Accounting or a support service and talk to them about what the data is that is imported and if there is file format layout available, CSV interface, or what ever they use as an import facility. I think then you should be able to provide the functionality through one of the many export facilities provided by RBase. Very critical to this is what they say is an interface to bring data to their accounting package (Real World?). She told me that they get to the R> prompt and type: RUN CHECKBK She says she has no idea what the program does, they just "do it". The guy who did their system is long gone and unavailable. They sent me their programs, and this program is not a readable file. If you look at it, it seems to indicate a file f:\rwc80\CHKTRX00.EXP . I asked her to look and sure enough there is a file with that name. Sent it to me and guess what, that one's not readable either. It seems to me like RUN CHECKBK shouldn't do a darn thing. I have zipped these 2 programs together in my dropbox. If anyone is bored, can you figure out if these are executable programs? https://www.dropbox.com/s/degy21eb8ewc59a/CHECKBK.zip Thanks a bunch!
