Mike,

In normal situations the temp files are automatically be removed by Rbase.

However if the program has ended unexpectedly this will not happen.

If you try to remove the temp files, be sure to close the database first and
then remove the temp files

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Temporary files question

Greetings:

Does the presence of temporary files (*.$$$) that do not get cleaned up by
R:BASE give an indication of a user-developed program that may need to be
tweaked or improved?

I have my temporary files folder set to C:\RBTemp. When I review it
periodically sometimes there are numerous files left behind such as
A6D7E92E24CB47D3943E1DA17B9AC474.$$$ for example.

Besides the RBTemp folder, some temporary files are created in my working
database directory and do not always get deleted.

I have R:BASE configured to remove temporary files when it is closed but
there are still some left behind.

I'm simply looking for areas where I might be able to continually improve my
programming.

Thanks and have a wonderful March weekend!
