Thanks, Razzak and all others that posted suggestions. I will re-visit my indexes and see if there's anything I can do better.
My TEMP setup is acceptable. I use a folder named RBTemp and have made sure my configuration is setup to use it. I still get some $$$ files in my working directory but maybe that's a question for another day. Using Karen's suggestion I modified my program to split out one somewhat complex command into about 3 or 4 separate commands. R:BASE seems happier when I do the required calculations first and then use the ROUND function to round the values to two decimal places. So far so good. I find that I have to be more particular with my code in eXtreme but then that makes me a better programmer I think. Thanks again and have an awesome April Fool's day! Mike, A few suggestions ... 00. Verify R:BASE Session SCRATCH settings. Here's an example to enforce custom SCRATCH settings in your RBASE.DAT file or Application Startup file: DISCONNECT IF (CHKFILE('C:\Temp')) <> 1 THEN MD C:\Temp ENDIF SET SCRATCH C:\Temp CONNECT dbname IDENTIFIED BY user password -- more here ... 01. Make sure to pre-define all variables with correct data types, prior to running as part of a sequence of dozens of programs. 02. Re-Visit all INDEXes, if any. 03. Hoping that you are using the latest Build of R:BASE eXtreme 9.5 (64). Notice a few LEGACY bugs that are fixed specific to INDEXes. WhatsNewInRBASEeXtreme95_Update04.pdf (#14, #25) 04.
