I am well aware with the fact that applications built in 9.5 may not work properly in previous versions. I was just trying to check it in both version (9.5 and 7.6) separately. In R:base 7.6, I have already tried using "ON Start Action" in properties tab in application designer as well as issuing property command through an application designer's Action to disable menu items.
