I've gone back to using the bit button. The images I developed while experimenting with the speed button work just as well on the bit button. And the image grays properly when the button is disabled. That was more work with the speed button.
I'm sure the speed button is nifty for what it was designed for, just not what I needed. Is there a reason why you changed to using them? I gave up using them years and years ago. I remember asking once for a concrete example of why a button that doesn't pull focus would be a useful thing to have, and no one gave me an example good enough that I've felt I needed to use one.
