This will be no help to you at all, but will suggest that you will have 
the problem until Windows 9. Lenovo still offers Win 7 on their business 
line, and recommend it for business users. They also will pre-install 
Windows 8.1 downgraded (an option in Win 8.1) to Win 7 which kind of 
hints that more than one person has found another even numbered Windows 
upgrade where the downgrade is the immediate prior odd numbered upgrade.
