I recently got an Asus Ultra book to replace an older HP laptop for work and an Asus t100 tablet for traveling. Both run 8.1 with R:Base 95_64 with latest updates, Win Office and other programs.
1. The Ultra book runs all programs just fine until I try to edit an EEP in R:Base. Click on any EEP edit tab and the very top line on the screen (R:Base icon in left corner and red 'X' box in right corner) turns whitish and everything stops. EEP edit never appears. Several clicks on 'ESC' gets things back to working but the EEP never shows. Hit the EEP edit again and the process repeats requiring ESC every time. Everything else works like always. 2. The t100 does everything right. When editing EEPs on the t100, the top line never changes and the EEP edits pop right up as expected. Reloaded R:Base from disk on the Ultra and tried various settings in Win 8.1. None of the compatibility or memory settings I changed made a difference and I cannot find any Asus docs that discuss any sort of limitations on numbers of screens allowed. While running the 8.1 troubleshooting program, the WIN troubleshooting screen will reappear when I click on the EEP edit. It is like the EEP drops out of R:Base. This has to specifically be an Ultra problem since the t100 runs perfectly fine. Never had this issue before on any computer. How can I solve this problem? Tom Frederick
