Technically, while in Report Designer, when objects are copied, the routine
also copies all relative coordinates including the native band, so that they
can be pasted on the exact same band accordingly.

Therefore, you cannot copy an object related to one band and then paste to a
different band.

Keeping the height of the original band, you will first need to simulate the
same height of the anticipated band and then simply drag&drop all objects.

Once dragged&dropped, you may adjust the height of the related band
accordingly.

Hope that explains the current logic of copying and pasting report object(s)
in Report Designer.
