I am using the cue banner in forms.
In one way or the other the cue banner in empty fields in an
existing row (edit using mode of a form) is not visible until
I press Esc
Am I missing something?

Tony,

What operating system?

FWIW ...

. Supported for Windows Vista, 7, 8.x, and higher only

. Cue Banner text is displayed until keystrokes are pressed

. The cue banner is only available to DB Edit and Variable Edit
  fields

. Make sure to enable the [x] Show Hint property

. While setting the Cue Banner, make sure that the Color Option
are not in conflict with your OS theme, etc.

To keep it neutral, leave the Color Options as follows:

Properties | Effects | Color Options

  Disabled Color: Window
  Focus Color: Window
  Read-Only Color: Window

Focus Color combinations are supported as well.

. You may also use the following PROPERTY command to define

PROPERTY <CompID> CUEBANNER 'Cue Banner Text Here ...'

For a sample form, take a close look at the "RBG9_CueBanner"
form included with RRBYW18 sample database.

Hope that provides you with some blue's clues ...

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
