Try to do a test page from windows and see if it works. It will print funky but should stop if the driver is correct.
I know with zebra I have had driver issues or setting issues within the printer properties. For years I have been using Epson tm-t88III and tm-t88IV printers to print a receipt which which is a has variables(prints one copy) and has worked to perfection. At a new business we got tm-t88V printers and boom, it wants to print multiple receipts(has spooled up to 10k), have checked with manufacturer and nothing seems to be set(we have tried 4 different ones). Got frustrated and put a 88IV back on and works fine. Just wanting to know if anyone else uses or has had similar problem. This is definitely not and Rbase issue Tom Hart
