In the Report Before Generate EEP: 1. Clear the page column in your table 2. Create a variable for the page number and initialize to 1
In the Page Header After Generate EEP 1. Increment the page variable This will give you a reliable page number to update your table with as the report is generated. I used a subreport to do the index part of the report. If you make the report 2 pass, you have the freedom to put the subreport either in the report header or in the report footer. When the index is in the report header, you can actually see the index get updated after the first pass. I'm using the report generator in RBase. My intention is to insert each persons unique identification number to a table as each person is printed using an 'after generate custom EEP'. I would then print the index using that table. What I don't have is the page number. I've looked for a system or report variable that I can use to tell me which page I'm on but can't find one. Is there such a thing as page variable that I can use? Help is appreciated with this or are there better solutions to this problem?
