Most of my charts are timelines. Sometimes, I need to make simple notations within a printable chart. Using the "Shape Series" feature, I can draw a vertical line with text at any arbitrary point to indicate conditions like: "Today", or "1971 Sylmar Quake". But, the Shape Series generates a legend entry and a relationship with an axis, distorting the axis scale for existing data series and "cluttering" the legend. Am I missing a simple notation feature?
