I would appreciate some advice on how to detect duplicate values for a column

for rows with the same value is there any quicker way of doing this ?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

John,

Here are a few approaches to find "Duplicate Values" for a column in a table:

01. Database Explorer | Tables | Open Table ...
Select the column by clicking on the column cell
    Main Menu | Calculate | Duplicates ...

That will provide you with a list of duplicate values along with a count

Results can be printed to Printer, Text File, PDF File, or Clipboard

02. Database Explorer | Tables | Open Table ...
Select the column by clicking on the column cell
    Right-Click | Calculate | Duplicates ...

That will provide you with a list of duplicate values along with a count

Results can be printed to Printer, Text File, PDF File, or Clipboard

03. Use the HAVING clause of the SELECT command.

    HELP HAVING

Have fun!
