Lena, I have used the print to excel function. However I have found that to get the results you may desire, will require a bit of playing with the formatting.
I still have a few clients that want it in excel, but they a no-bells/whistles/down and dirty excel spreadsheet and they appear content. I had also found it to be slow but that may be network issues and it was along time ago. Just my thoughts.
