Tommy,
If Google Chrome is the default Web Browser for the operating system, the
LAUNCH command with a variable will open the Web site.
SET VAR vWebSite TEXT = 'http://www.rbase.com/'
LAUNCH .vWebSite
If Chrome is not the default Web browser for the computer, and you want to
specifically launch Chrome regardless, the following will work:
SET VAR vChrome TEXT = 'C:\Program Files
(x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe'
SET VAR vWebSite TEXT = 'http://www.rbase.com/'
SET VAR vLaunchSite TEXT = (.vChrome + '|' + .vWebSite)
LAUNCH .vLaunchSite
You path to the Chrome executable, for the variable vChrome, may vary based
upon your operating system version. The (CVAL('PLATFORM')) function along
with SGET can be used to capture the Chrome path based upon the operating
system. You may also have to verify that Chrome is installed on the computer.
SET VAR vPlatform TEXT = (CVAL('PLATFORM'))
SET VAR vGetPltfrmVer TEXT = (SGET(.vPlatform,2,4))
IF vGetPltfrmVer = '32' THEN
SET VAR vChrome TEXT = 'C:\Program
Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe'
ENDIF
IF vGetPltfrmVer = '64' THEN
SET VAR vChrome TEXT = 'C:\Program Files
(x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe'
ENDIF

If I have a complete web address stored as a variable, how can I launch a
web browser (Chrome) from inside of RBase that contains the variable as
the web address?
Thanks for any help.
