I would use the quotes because without the quotes R:Base could take the name
as a column and not a variable.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Which is the correct syntax for GETPROPERTY? With or
without the 'around the variable?

Hi All,

I have tried both of these, and both work....

SET VAR vtest TEXT

GETPROPERTY id_filename TEXTVALUE vtest

and

SET VAR vtest TEXT

GETPROPERTY id_filename TEXTVALUE 'vtest'

My goal is to capture the text data into the variable. Since both seem to
work, is there a preferred method? Is there any difference?

Mike
