Mike,

I created a form that displays text files and allows you to select a file two
different ways. The text file will display in the form and if you want the full
search and edit capability, simply double click on the display data and the
full editor with all the bells and whistles opens up, when you close it, you
are right back on the form. I will e-mail you the form files so you can loaded
it to your own database. When you exit the form it takes you right back to the
original/home directory.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Best way to display and search a text file

Hi All,

I have a large number of files that just text files, no more than 80 characters
wide, each about 100 lines long, ie 1-2 pages. I would like to be able to view
them, one at a time within RBase 9.5 32 bit. Ideally, I would like to be able
to display them and be able to search/find words within the files. Which form
object would be best? How do I get the text into the form and maintain the
original number of characters per line so that the user is seeing what the text
file would look like if it were printed?

Mike
