Jan,

I do this all the time, in fact, it is just about the only way I do it.
This is the procedure Is use:
Connect to remote server via Cisco VPN
Connect to remote system via RDP or Ultra VNC. Ultra VNC is super-fast and I
use it to download the entire database to my computer for occasional
maintenance.
===
On the RDP Connection Window go to the Local Resources Tab and the select
More.under Local Devices and Resources at the bottom and check the resources
on your computer you want to share, likely OS (C: )
===
Start Windows Explorer and move files from my computer to a subdirectory
under the database directory on the server.
Start the compiled application and go to a pass-worded menu option that
allows me to select the table, form, report or view that I want to upload.
Store database directory and path and move to the subdirectory where the
file is located.
After the file is loaded into the database, it is deleted from the
subdirectory; if it is a *.FRM or *.RPT the corresponding *.LOB file is also
deleted, so no trace is left in the server.
The application returns to the original directory where the database is
located using the stored path.
The only kink I noticed is that if I am the only one connected to the
database I can continue selecting files and loading them to the database in
a loop. When other users are connected, it kicks me out of the application
and I have to re-start for every file I want to load. I have not able to
pinpoint why this happens.

Let me know if you need additional help

Karen,

Thx for the info but I don't see anything like that.

I was able to FTP my files up so I have a work around
EXCEPT
I can't run extreme 9.5 like this because it asks for
the license key.

Bummer.

Bring up My Computer on the remote. Below its local drives and directories,
you'll see your drives with the word "remote" in front of it, or something
like that. So you copy files back and forth between directories.

Razzak,

Those are checked but I guess I don't understand the copy and paste.
CTRL C and CTRL V don't work. Right click copy/paste are greyed out.

Jan,

Check your Remote Desktop Connection settings for [x] Clipboard.

Remote Desktop Connection | Show Options | Local Resources ...

Local Devices and Resources:

[x] Printers
[x] Clipboard

That's all there is to it!
