R:azzak,
Have you consider having training seminar via the Internet/WebEx?
For many of us, the time and cost of traveling/tickets plus lodging and
other expenses becomes pretty high. I know I would very much consider say, a
one day class with a 4 hours morning and a 4 hours afternoon session that
you can teach from the comfort of your office and we can watch from our own
offices ourselves. I have attended a couple of conferences on line and with
no interruptions and limited questions, presentations moved quickly and
stayed on schedule.
Something to consider???
Javier,
Thank you so much for your suggestions. I appreciate your experience.
I have been doing regular online training and development sessions, on
request, reserved in advance, using www.join.me/RazzakMemon
However, I cannot emphasize how gratifying it is to me to share knowledge,
experience, and all inside stuff of R:BASE to a group of R:BASE users and
developers and spending quality time, usually two days, and then getting
their feedback and response immediately. Helping them with their database
and application questions during the class, is something I enjoy as well.
I have always enjoyed this arrangement, looking at everyone, and helping
them with anything they need to know as we go though the training outline.
Personally, there is no substitute for having a face-to-face experience.
Yes, I agree, there is cost involved, and I feel it is worthwhile to those
who take their time to come and learn R:BASE.
For a solo R:BASE user/developer, this route might be costly. However,
those who want to get away from their hectic corporate and government
work environment have always enjoyed coming to R:BASE training.
Lately, I have been training groups of newly hired employees for businesses
where the existing old timer R:BASE developers and full-time employees are
either retiring or have gone to heaven.
Stay tuned for less exotic and more convenient training locations <g>.
