Hit "send" too fast. I used this:
SET VAR vDTextE = (GETVAL('GetVolumeID','E:\'))
to see if a handheld scanner was attached to the laptop. Some laptops had a
CD/DVD drive as drive E:\, but if the scanner was attached it would have
"OPTICON" as the drive name.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Identifying a Drive's Volume Name
We have:
CVAL('CURRDRV')) gives 'X:'
CVAL('CURRDIR')) gives directory name
CVAL('DRIVES')) gives list of drive letters
Is there anything which can accomplish something like CVAL('VOLUMENAME'))?
