Dick, The first thing I check when I have a problem with reports is to verify the data going into the report is correct.
If it is using a table, verify that there are indeed no duplicate records. If it using a view, particularly a multi-table view, verify that extra rows are not being generated. PACK INDEX - Rebuild Indices for the table or preferably for the entire database. You can do this even if there are users connected.
