"There are two common columns in the views: Empid and workdate." Is likely the culprit. If the second or lower table is a temp table, make it a Temp View and give workdate a different name so there is only linkage on EmpId.
When you create your SELECT for the columns to be used, use the "AS" operator to give workdate a different name like "WorkDate1" or something that suits you. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jim Belisle Sent: Sunday, January 24, 2016 8:10 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [RBASE-L] - sub reports It seems like I can never get a sub report to work properly. I have read the how to manual, and the help information on sub reports. I just cannot seem to get the report to print. I will try to explain my setup. The main report prints just fine. The goal of the sub report is to print the detail of all the entries from a temp table. There are two common columns in the views: Empid and workdate. The setting for the sub report is as follows: Child Keep together Parent Width Visible I placed the sub report in the Break footer of the main report based on the Empid. That band is a dynamic height setting. The subreport pulls from the temp view tempprod I put the fields I want printed in the detail section of the subreport tab. I will not be on line much today but Monday I will check. James Belisle Making Information Systems People Friendly Since 1990 [cid:[email protected]]
