Razzak & Karen - Thanks. I found the RBG95_32_Default_Settings (dated
1/30/2014) and ran it, unfortunately I still have the black-on-black
text. Had rebooted too.
Some of my original info was incorrect, my apologies. More info:
Black-on-black text in the built-in RB editor happens on both, not just
one, of the computers that run RB 9.5 from the server.
Local installation on C: runs fine so I'm guessing it's something with
the server installation.
I'll be out this afternoon, but this evening I'll uninstall RBG95_32
from the server and reinstall with RBG95_32_Installer_01032014 and then
apply the 01/28 update.
Thank you for your replies.

New or pasted text in the built-in RBase editor is black on black

text is entered.
Happens on one computer, not the other.
Both run RBase from a server with -a option.
Happened in previous version and current, 9.5.5.30128.
Everything else seems ok.
This isn't the result of changing anything in Editor Settings, but
I have tried relevant changes in Editor Settings (Display and
Background colors) with no luck.
I suspect a corrupted CFG or DAT file somewhere? Where?
FWIW ...
This is NOT a problem.
It is the result of using R:BASE on this particular workstation without
using the full-installation protocol and procedures.
To fix this specific behavior, use the "RBG95_32_Default_Settings.exe"
or "RBG95_64_Default_Settings.exe" from the default installation folder
such as \RBTI\RBG95_32 or \RBTI\RBG95_64.
That's all there is to it!
Very Best R:egards,
Razzak
