Hi Tom
The Most likely problem is Microsoft during the Visual Studio updated a DLL
that R:Base uses.
Others could be..
if it is at the same location every time, try moving the Memory Modules in
your computers to different locations and check to see if the problem goes
away or changes locations.
or
over heating of the processor, I have had the fans go out
or
the dll changes could be affecting either the Video or the Network Card.
I Have seen all kinds.

Subject: Memory Could Not Be "Read"
G'day!
I attempted to load Visual Studio to my workstation (stop that cheering in
the
background you guys who have been exhorting me to do so) and since then
when R:Base crashes I am getting more data on the error messages. It now
says:
The instruction at "0x0055fcd7" referenced memory at "0x0187ffff".
The memory could not be "read".
Does anyone know if this is in the nature of an R:Base memory leak that
should be reported to RDCC or more likely to be a faulty memory chip?
Many thanks in advance.
P.S. Thanks Joe and Jeff et al for the entertainment this morning.
Warmest regards,
Tom Grimshaw
