Hmmm.. I am the only one using this database.
The error occurred when executing an eep:
set v vtid integer
select (max(id +1)) into vtid from nonhazdetail whe manifest_id=manifest_id
autonum id in nonhazdetail delete
autonum id in nonhazdetail using .vtid
INSERT....
In the course of tracing and breaking out of my program is it possible that
the table became locked?

Charles,
Most likely the table is locked so it cannot generate a new
autonumber. This can happen at one of my clients if someone gets thrown
out in the middle of a sensitive proceedure.
