this is what we did for NT at UMMG.  I was looking for Windows 2000.  Here
is the solution:

create an icon pointing to the R:BASE executable.  2000 will create a memory
tab under properties just like in Win 95/98/Me.

after saving the icon, change the program to point to a batch file.  You now
have a batch file with the memory tab.  if you created the icon initally for
a batch file there would not be any memory tab.

this is superior to NT.  getting the memory tab is crucial.  obviously MS
added some DPMI capability code to its ODS emulation in 2000............
